Swiss Blockchain And Cyber Security Firm To Open Blockchain Centre

WISeKey, Switzerland based Blockchain and cybersecurity firm as per the recent announcement on Thursday is planning to open a Blockchain centre of excellence headquartered in Geneva.

WISeKey international holding is prominent cybersecurity, Blockchain and IoT firm renowned worldwide is now targeting to open its Geneva centre of excellence. According to the announcement made this week, the Blockchain centre for Blockchain is the part of the collaboration between Blockchain research institutes (BRI) for establishing the number of interconnected Blockchain centres of excellence all over the world.

WISeKey aims to secure authentication and identification using a cryptographic tool called the root of trust. The firm is increasingly implementing the Internet of things (IoT) and decentralized ledger technology into its operation as well as various applications. The company will also focus on assisting the new startups in addition to researching and promoting new technology in public as well as private sectors.

As per the report, the Blockchain centre of excellence is already opened in India, Rwanda and Mauritius and now the firm is foreseeing to open the centre at Buenos Aries, Argentina and linking them with the three hubs of Geneva, Toronto and Beijing. Here each sector holds its own expertise where Geneva will focus on fintech while the centres in Buenos Aries, Argentina will target on anti-counterfeiting platforms.   By opening this centre with the brand new partnership with BRI, WISeKey will offer the worldwide Blockchain facilities coordinated with business, academia and other centres and share its significant application and used resources.

Also last week, WISeKey also announced the launching of global Blockchain centre in Malaysia partnering with Censof, A subsidiary of Malaysian tech investment holding. Addressing the media, Board of director at Censof. Ameer Bin Shaik Mydin told, “The potential benefits of Blockchain will help drive the efficiencies for our client.”

In addition to this, WISeKey also announced a Blockchain based identity partnership this week to check the ocean water pollution. In this initiative, the firm will monitor every plastic product manufactured by the participating company and cheek the recycling effort of each of them using Blockchain identity.
